{ Maya Integration } - Easy access to Decal Creator through a personalize menu. Convienient options window to allow customization of Decal Creator's behavior.
{ Decal Offset } - To combat z-fighting a special offset algorithm is applied per-vertex to help pad the decal away from the geometry that it is projected onto.
{ Face Culling } - Enable / Disable this feature to avoid unwanted polygons. Enabling this feature will cause faces to be ignored if they are facing away from the projection.
{ Precision Clipping } - Enable / Disable this feature for finer control of your polygons. Leaving this feature enabled is often the best approach but there are circumstances; such as deformable meshes, that may require a perfect alignment of vertex positions. In these cases you can disable precision clipping.
{ Polygonate } - This little gem helps to optimize and simplify your decals. It works similarly to Maya's Quadrangulate but is not limited to quads or triangles. Polygonate will create N-sided polygons for your decal mesh.
Polygonate Options:
- None - Keep as triangles
- Convex - Don't allow complex polygon faces
- Concave - Allow complex polygons
- Full - Fix vertex-edge intersections & allow complex faces.
